1967 mf 165 not charging

I checked things out the alternator is
putting out just over twelve volts followed
the wires back under the dash it has a
voltage regulator I assume that's probably
where my problem is. Anyone with knowledge
of these tractors.

Check the two post oil pressure switch on the back side of the oil pressure gauge, one side should be hot. Gauge is normally open, is closed with oil pressure to turn on both the charging system and fuel level gauge. First place I'd look.
