Diverter valves

I'm wanting to replace the cover cap on my MF135 with a diverter valve so I can choose between my 3 pt and an external auxillary cylinder.

I'm looking at one like this: Model VDF1104

There's something similar on this forum however the mounting holes are offset at a diagonal... which means the valve would be sitting on the tractor kinda cattywampus... the plus side is the inclusion of a return port on this one which would make my install more simple (I have a return line going into the cover plate which is currently installed on my tractor)

Going back to the VDF1104... anyone using one of these?

The description I've found on the internet says there's a return port on it but the photos included with the description don't show a return hole on the bottom of the valve...

I already have a spool valve on the left side of the seat so I'm not necessarily interested in replacing my cover plate with a combo diverter/spool unit... (they tend to get spendy....)
 
That will work, BUT you don't need it. Just go to the hardware and get a good gate valve and place it in the blade valve supply line as I mentioned before. Close the valve for three point use, open it for blade use. Would probably cost much less too.
 
My brother has one similar this on his 150, I don't remember where exactly the return goes to on his.

I'm going to use the ball valve like Dieseltech suggested on my 135 (not going to pay a $100 for a diverter valve).

What I'm aiming for is more precise control over what each end of the tractor is doing...

When I'm plowing snow the angled front blade can't push the snow far enough out of the way to allow room for the next storm... my drive is getting narrower and narrower... (I have about 1/4 mile I need to plow)

I figure if I angle the back blade over to one side, raise it about a foot and have it 'locked' at that height the back blade would knock the top of the last snows windrow over and give the front blade a fighting chance at getting the fresh powder over the top...

165. It works good. I replaced the other one
since it was always getting hit by my foot
when getting on or off tractor and then pop
out of hydraulics. I would not want the 1st
photo one, looks like easy to move handle
accidentally with foot also, or worse trip
yourself.

Any chance of getting a pic of it on yer tractor? I’m trying to figure how exactly it fits...
 
So I have a massey ferguson 3165 tractor with loader and it has external pump for loader and the internal for 3pt. I'm trying to figure out how I can hookup remote hydraulics thru the hydraulic lift cover cap. I get what you mean by the ball valve instead of the fancy "hydraulic" ball valve but where do you hook that too? the allen screw plug in rectangle cap on front right of cover??? And I'm guessing the return would hook to the cresent wrench plug screw on front left of cover? I'm just guessing these places cuz I've done some images searching and this is where they appear to be hooked but jus want to be 100% how to do it before I spend money on it haha. I'm mainly wanting the ability for our pull behind bushhog that height adjustment has a hydraulic cylinder and also a 3pt log splitter been using the bucket tilt valve(one hydraulic hose and the valve has two ports) to raise it up then shut tractor off and press valve to lower hog cuz hydraulic system acts funny when I lower it when it's running so I jus lower it by shutting it off. i think the issue has something to do with the bucket tilt cylinders have threw flow(input and output ports) and the bushhog lift cylinder is a one way flow (one port) please any input on these issues would be greatly appreciated. Just realized the top picture in my first post is from across-the-pond and features BSP threaded work ports... won't work with my NPT connections... :?

Anyone using a TS300 valve like this:

I'm curious as to the two stacked ports at the rear... are they both pressure or is one a return line? (the front port is for a one-way cylinder? which I can block off)

Please help me identify ports on a TS 300 hydraulic diverter
I saw your picture on YT Mag. Mine is identical. I just have no directions with mine. I would like to locate a source for a manual for the valve. I just want to plumb it correctly to avoid damaging my hydraulic system. I will install on a Massey 240S

In the above photo the front hose is “pressure only” ... maybe for a trip bucked type set up... with the selector handle rotated forward pressure is sent up that hose... when the selector is rotated back (either vertical or rearward) that same pressurized oil flows back thru the same hose to the reservoir... I have mine capped as I don’t have a need for it.

The two stacked hoses at the rear of the TS300 are connected to my spool valve... top hose is pressure, bottom hose is return (I need to run my “position control lever” in “constant pumping” mode to run my spool valve)... the selector lever on the valve needs to be pointed back to activate this circuit...

If the selector lever is vertical (as shown in the picture), oil flows to the three point hitch (all other circuits are closed.)

PS... the “manual” that came with my valve was pretty much worthless... not much info...
 
Got to thinking more about the front, pressure only port... if, as I previously stated, you rotate the selector lever back, the pressure only port would be blocked off... leaving whatever pressure that was in the front hose trapped in the hose...

My best guess is you would use your tractors “position control” to control that port, similar to how the three point hydraulics work... pressure to raise an implement, gravity to lower it...
