MF34 loader bucket teeth

The bucket on my MF34 loader has holes in it along the front for teeth. Is there an advantage to having teeth on it like it does not wear out the bucket as fast, digs better?

Also, where would I get teeth for this loader? I do not have a dealer near me. Someone here have some?

Next question. I have the MF box scraper on the rear that is hydraulic and moves all differnt ways. Someone says it is an MF18 box blade. The wear blade (scaraff?) on the bottom is worn pretty good. Are those available? Can the one I have be flipped?
Thanks in advance.
Jason

It probably uses a grader blade on the box scraper. If the holes are in the middle, you should be able to flip it over. The holes in the loader bucket could be for a bolt on cutting edge or teeth. Are there 2 rows of holes or only one? 2 for teeth and one for a bolt on edge. Teeth will dig a lot easier in hard packed material. On a skid steer they make a night and day difference, however most owners will have both buckets. A smooth edge bucket is a lot more versatile. A bolt on edge will save the bucket and so will teeth to some extent but if you dig a lot of hard ground with teeth, the bucket will get scalloped between the teeth. Any heavy equipment or skid steer shop should have teeth. Dave

It only has one row of bolts on the bucket so it must just be the wear bar. Where do you get this wear bar or bucket edge? Does it mount on the bottom or top edge of the bucket? My bucket is in very good shape and I would like to keep it that way.

Thanks.

How wide is the bucket Jake? If it is wider that the arms, then Dave is pointing you right, but if it is a half round old fashioned thing that fits inside the arms, usually with a trip mechanism rather than a cylinder- those holes are for 'manure' forks, the original intention for farm loaders. The usually 5/8 to 1" round bars were to get enough straw bedding up and in the spreader- per attempt? Just talking to an MF dealer the other day about how the 'modernization' of lightweight loaders, and the heavy aftermarket rigs has ruined the front ends of many an otherwise indistructable tractor. Can you post a pic?

Check at a heavy equipment supplier or aftermarket supplier of ground engaging tools. You might get lucky that they'll have a replacement edge but I think you'll have to have the holes punched and countersunk for plow bolts to fit your existing holes. A welding shop could probably make you one as well but it won't be as hard of steel. They mount on the bottom. Dave

Hello,

I am needing to replace the bucket teeth to my MF30 Front Loader. Having trouble finding the exact teeth which were the original teeth. Curious if I can find replacement teeth and where?

Thank you!

The MF model 34 loader (loader model number is usually different than the tractors model number) came with teeth. MF part number 1753740M1 (Tooth, General Purpose Bucket). The bucket blade is part number 708651M1.

They may not be available.

I needed a new double edged blade for my roll over box scraper. I ordered it from Steel Ray Blades but I see they are no longer listed on the net. They made a blade to my exact specifications, with all the drilled and countersunk holes in the right place.

I just found this place on the net.

If you go there and click on "Custom Blade Order" you will see the measurements drawing. This is the same way I ordered my blade from the other company and they made it exact to my measurements. It was a very economical price also.

Check them out.

I don't know what this company charges but at least it's a place where you can get blades.
