No spark at points

I have been working on my MF245 over the winter. Had a loss of power last summer and have done many things with no improvement.
However it would start and run until this last fix. Pulled the distributor to check inside and found the advance weights rusty. Cleaned everything
up and reinstalled. Now I have no spark at the points. There is 12 volts from the switch to the coil and out the other side. Then to the distributor
all the way to the points. The points do not spark at all and where gapped while the distributor was out.

As always thank you for any help and be safe out there.

Take a $5 test light available at your local auto parts store and follow it to exactly where the voltage stops. You can probably deduce the exact problem that way.
Are the points so old that there might be corrosion between the contacts?
It's rare, but I've seen some brand new points that were bad.

Sounds like the common but simple dirty points and if they have sat for a long time they will do that. I keep a simple points file in my tool box just for that type of problem
