After two big long storms here, my dirt roads were in pretty bad shape. I went out with the 202 with a box blade on the back. It started running bad with a load on it. It wouldn't pull a full box blade up a hill.
I go it home and figured it was either spark or gas. First thing I did was pull the bottom drain out of the carb bowl. The gas just came trickling out, not like it should. So I then pulled the gas line off the carb and it ran fine into a mason jar. So I was sure it was that brass elbow with the filter on it in the carb. I pulled that out and it was very dirty. I held it up to the sunlight and couldn't even see through it.
Then it dawned on me that I had one of those as a spare part for my 8N. Got that one out of the shed and sure enough it fit.
Back in business. Why can't all fixes be that simple?
