Super 90 engine swap

A4.318, yes. Will bolt right in but may need front oil pan horizontal hardware changed to studs/nuts, depends what pan is used. 236-248 will not fit as rear flange is nothing like the A4.300 and 318.

Rear block flange of the 300/318 is different from the 236/248 bolt pattern. Super 90 and 285-1085 transmissions clutch housing have two 5/8 NC bolts in the bottom, other smaller MF transmissions never used them.

No adapter plate on 236/248 blocks either. Adapter plates were used on Perkins 152 three cylinder, 192, 203 four cylinder, 305, 354, and 372 six cylinder blocks used in MF applications.

Is the 236/248 bolt pattern exactly the same other than not having the two 5/8 NC bolts in the bottom.
