Well I'm wondering how this cold spell is hitting everyone on YT. It was -26 here on the 29th and 30th and -25 in West Old Town this morning. I don't know about all you other tractor aficionados but that is just too cold for me to spend any time outside. Add to that the wind has been blowing almost every day. I guess at 72 I'm getting soft. So let's hear some other temps around the farms out there.

Minus 37 centigrade. About -43 with the wind chill...here in NW Saskatchewan yesterday. Warmed up to -29 this morning.

Cold here since before Christmas. Havent really had to plug in the vehicles before that.
Two days ago, I was helping a neighbor...he went out to start his truck...could hear the PS pump whining in the cold. Few minutes later I went out to go home, and his PS oil was all over the snow. He tried to start his other truck, unplugged, and it actually started. Blew some very black smoke for about 20 seconds.

Compared to others it is tropical warm here in Northern Maryland, 11 F which just happens to be - 11 C this morning. Plugged in block heater for the MF 265 and moved a few rounds bales, no problem. Cheers 2018.

-2 here in Northern,Ill. today, supposed to be in -double digets tonight, deer hunting season this weekend, not much shooting going on,I've just been watching College bowl games and staying out of the cold as much as possible.

I am also 72. -23 in ND this morning, was -27 yesterday lucky for me, we are in Minneapolis for the New Year weekend. Maybe the cold weather isn't so bad was like this in the 50s and 60s. They were good year's maybe I just don't remember that well. Not that life is hard now, remote start, heated seats,no ashes to carry out, no wood or coal to haul in don't even need to milk the two cows twice a day. I think our Grandchildren could use some of that. Still they are good children, just that I worry about them.

-40 F for the past four nights! Our winter home in Arizona must be lonesome....:( My Mothers health has taken a down turn soooooooooo were going to hang in here until all settles out. Burning wood like I have not seen in years.
I retired so at age 64 life is good....well GOOD AND COLD.

-17 this morning near Menomonie WI. Pretty average for around here a few times a year and not too bad after reading the other posts. I'm just glad we haven't gotten a big pile of snow. I haven't had to fire up a tractor for snow blowing in this cold which is a good thing! I've had to snow blow with temps around -20 and always worry about fuel lines jelling up stalling the tractor in the middle of the driveway!!!

Happy New Year everyone.
We have a very sunny day here in South Wales at the moment probably around 9-10 degrees C. This apparently is the calm before the storms. Storms Eleanor and Fionn are on their way over from you to us and due to make landfall on Tuesday. Severve wind and rain warnings have been issued for much of the UK so we have nowhere to run!!!!! Even had to cancel a couple of nights away in the caravan because we thought it was too dangerous to take it on exposed roads.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

I would gladly trade your weather for ours. I always preferred shoveling rain to shoveling snow. We had a real nor'easter Christmas day, got about 15 inches as near as I can tell.

Been between 4-8*F here for the past week or so, not really that bad. It's considered a "cold snap" for our area, but it doesn't bother me too much. Was outside for about 4hrs yesterday working on one of my smaller machines. Toes got a bit cold but I probably wasn't dressed for it either.
