Christmas Greetings from South Wales

Good MORNING and Happy Christmas to you wherever you are around the YT world. Babs and I send you our warmest greetings to enjoy your day and the Christmas Period. It?s 9.30am in the UK so some to the east of us will already be well into their special day and those to the west it is yet to arrive.

As with every year much has happened worldwide and whether you agree or not with the direction that things are taking is not something we can discuss on Yesterdays Tractor. However, we are still here and the challenges for 2018 will be no easier than this year.

For those of us fortunate to receive Christmas gifts, have you thought about giving something back? No, not to the nearest and dearest but to your tractors and machines that keep your business running 365 days of the year in many cases, which you rely heavily on. Even if your machines are non-working giving them a treat will help extend their life and hopefully look after your pocket a little.

Think of three service or repair jobs that you have been promising yourself that you would do sometime in the future. Set yourself a target date to complete them by. It may be an oil and filter change or some item that needs replacing or repairing or something as simple as a grease-round. If the machine could talk you might be greeted with an ?Ooh I needed that?. Crazy, well maybe just a bit but you know what I mean!

If you take up the challenge let us know what you plan to do.

We send you all our best wishes for a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2018 and for those in a working environment

GOOD LUCK ON THE LAND IN 2018

Hi David,

A Very Merry Christmas to you and Babs. Thank you for all your work on the MF165. Absolutely brilliant.

Best wishes,
Jon & Liz.

Hello again,
Just had a wonderful surprise MF Christmas Present from my wife. This almost mint 70-page MF pocket catalogue dates from October 1968. I had been watching it on Ebay and knew that it would sell for in excess of ?30 ($40). When it closed it had sold for around ?40 ($53) and I thought no more of it.
It was a wonderful surprise to find out that she had gone in in the last few seconds and won it. There have been many catalogues since but this one is very special as it is the last one to have mainly colour photos throughout and dates back to what is for me the absolute peak of MF nostaligia. This one is now quite rare and will certainly be well looked after.

Oh David... sorry, I refuse to buy Christmas presents for the tractors.... but I did cook corn beef and cabbage for the chickens... ops... that was suppose to be for saint Patrick's day.... we got a foot of snow for a present... I'd like to know who sent me that as a gift... I'd love to send it back with interest!!!
You need more pets than you fergies to lavish gifts upon... next time to see Julia... ask if she knows of any pet chickens- for you to cook snacks for... to share with as they help you watch TV.... atleast they'll clean up their own crums....
I hope you and yours have a great Christmas!!! and everyone on this forum too!!

A card I received from a friend in Oatley a few years ago.. Might look familiar. Have a great New Year
