Massey 88 torque converter

A. Customer brought what looks to be a torque converter
from a 88that has a aluminum cast cover that was cracked all
the way around ,he had it welded but that warped it bad I can't
find much on it does this ring a bell to anyone , would like to
find another cover

Are you sure it's not a Multi-Power clutch assembly from a Massey Super 90? 85 and 88 both used a dry type clutch, never had the MP option.

No I m not haven't seen the tractor I have a picture of of the converter I see if I can post it

Try again.........Nope cannot get a photo to upload.
Anyway.....you have a multi-power clutch pack for an 85, 88, super 90.
Part number 191036m1 is the cover you need. Unavailable except at a wrecker. Probably the clutch pedal was pushed down too far....past the clutch stopper and the clutch valve plunger hit the rotating clutch pack.

I have a gas Super 90 with Multi-Power I'm parting out in the near future, it's not split yet though to see the cover you need.
