Photos of Massey Harris/Ferguson single front wheel assembly

Hello guys does anyone have a photo of these tractors with a single front wheel? Also how can I tell on an 88 MF if it came new with this? I have been collecting narrow front and single wheel front tractors of all brands and could use some 8nput or photos. I can't find anything. Where should I start the search? Thank you guys! What I have I believe is correct to the Massey 88 but the wheel is missing. I need to know what to look for. I have part number 184082m1. Thank you

No MF 88 ever came with a narrow front, they were wide front Western tractors only. Row crop MF 85 and Super 90 could be dual tricycle or single wheel front end, as well as wide front.

Do you know of any larger models ever came with them or if could be equipped with them? The part number I have pulls up 85 / 88 model so I assume the 85 is the one that had it. Thank you for the information! Any photos would be awesome!

The 1100/1130 could have the dual tricycle front IF it was equipped with the correct steering box. Had to have a thrust bearing that some wide front only steering gearboxes did not have. Here's a photo of my Super 90 pulling tractor with a narrow front from a 180.

That looks really cool. The for I have bolts on with 6 bolts. Just as the narrow front pedestal would. Does the 180 bolt on or does it go through on a shaft? Also does the proper steering gearbox have the mount plate for the 1100 1130? And the other style have just a steering arm? How hard would a dual wheel front be to find? Thanks!

All MF tractors 85 and larger through 1155 used the same six bolt type box spindle. If the steering box HAS a FRONT bolt on plate the box has the thrust bearing for narrow front use. If the box front is PLAIN, it's a wide front steering box only. The two box choices were mainly seen on the 1100 series, so far the 180-1080 models I've seen had the correct box, still best to remove the front grille panel and look at the box front.

(quoted from post at 09:46:45 12/17/17) Maybe. Did you get in touch with Brain on his single wheel?

Brian had just the fork. I would like to find the wheel to gonwith it. Is it the same as the Ferguson 40 or would it be larger? Who would be a good source to find one. Or even a dual wheel narrow front would be find also. Thank you for all the help! Your Ferguson 40 looks awesome!

(quoted from post at 09:35:50 12/17/17) My F40 Single if it helps.

The fork needs a front axle and wheel. Is it the same as the other models? Mine measures 10 3/4 inches from washer surface to washer surface. And it looks that the axle would be roughly 1 3/8 inch diameter. I will post some photos of what I have. Thank you!

That's NEAT! I had a 1100 gas for awhile, had to make sure the fuel cap vent was open so the tank sides would not suck in during hard pulls. LOL Dad still has his 1100 diesel he bought new in 1972

That is the fork that I have like on the 1100. How hard would it be to find the wheel for it or another complete assembly?
