hydraulic filter

(quoted from post at 18:38:35 12/07/17) does a mf 35 deluxe have a trans. or hydraulic filter? if so where?

I have read it can be accessed through the opening when the PTO shift level and cover are removed. But I have not tried it. Then again, I also read the top has to be removed to get to it.
Hopefully someone who has the experience can answer, because I need to know the answer too.

You may be able to get to it from the side plates as 54FergieTO30 said. You may have a little trouble putting the safety wire on it from there though.

I'm not able to address your concerns, however, here are some pictures of my MF 35 FE...1963

Hello, yes it can be accessed through the LHS side cover. It is straightforward but be careful as there are some sharp edges waiting to cut your hand particularly the legs of the driveshaft split pin above.
Make sure you lift the complete assembly out as some do and some do not have the lower cup on them. The filter can be cleaned out or replaced. Re fitting is easy with a final nip-up with a pair of pliers. You can rewire with a strand 'cooker' copper wire if you do not have soft wire.
