2tractors

I have a Massey Ferguson 30e 2 wheel drive tractor. Runs great but does not drive forward. Leaks like the torque converter is going out. Also needs rear tires. I don't have the battery cover. Could be a great tractor to repair or use for parts for new holland and ford and Massey tractors. Starts right up it's non turbo 3 cylinder.
Hey dieseltech I've been eyeing this for awhile and wonder if what he said sounds like something easy to fix or not??

If you don't need the shuttle shift I'd put a regular 6x2, or 8x2 transmission in it from a 135 - 240 in it. I put a 6x2 manual transmission from a Ford 3000 into my Ford 4500 backhoe that had the 4x4 torque converter/shuttle shift in it. For the farm don't really need a shuttle shift.

Might check out the leak first. If it can't be repaired easily I'm with ptfarmer, switch out the transmission for a six or eight speed. Remember you will need the complete flywheel and clutch parts too.

Thanks guys for the options. Looking for a shuttle shift diesel to put a loader on. The fact it won't move is and with flats on back would probably require a forklift or 2.
