MF 236 what is it??

My hood decal reads MF 245 but the tag reads MF 236. Series 2418. Serial # 006891. What do i have? Need to do a engine rebuild need to be
sure what parts to order.

The 236 is the model number of the front end loader. MF uses different model numbers for tractors, front end loaders, etc. There should be a tag on the tractor with the model, and serial number.

The tractor serial number should be on a metal plate on the lower left side of the instrument panel, The 245 serial number will start with 9A and have 6 more numbers ( " 9A222222" )

Here is a pic I found from tractordata, this is not a 245 (see the steering arms?) but the serial # plate is the same.

Yes, for example my Massey is a 240, but the loader is a 232. Works well, but different numbers.
