Massey industrial help please

So I have a 1970 something massey industrial with a loader. It has shuttle shift, pto and 3 point. I think the loader is a mf34, but I can't be certain. I am also at a loss as to what tractor I have as the aluminum plate is badly damaged. How can I tell what I have for certain?

There are several things I need to work on, and mostly, they are easy, but not knowing the model, I am having a tough time finding parts.

One thing I really need to find for my loader is a hay spear. I got one for the bucket, but that is a fiasco at best. What I would really like is one to pin on in place of the bucket. It seems simple enough, even if a pain, to remove the bucket. Does anyone know a part number or a company that makes a hay spear to fit the front loader?

On the loader, there are two plugs in the bottom of the loader frame. I assume both drain the hydraulics, but I wanted to see if there was anything special I needed to know about draining and changing the fluid and filter.

Thank you for the help

Get a quick attatch plate made up for your loader. Then you can use the tractor for
other jobs without the weight of the bucket hanging out front, and put any
attatchment on the loader in less than a minute. Any ag dealer or welding shop should
be able to fab something up. Ben

Pictures of the tractor can help with identifying which one you have, pictures of the hood, grill/front axle, steering system, dash, engine, and rear axle housings.

Some places sell the universal skid steer quick attach plate mechanism (that Bobcat invented) that you see on skid steers already made. Then all you have to do is get it so it will mount in place of your loader bucket. You can also buy just the attachment plate that you can weld on the back of your bucket, or you can buy (or make) all the attachments you want (do a internet search for everything attachments). There are also other companies like them that make the same universal quick attach system. Maybe you can find a junked out skid steer that still has a good quick attach on it at a salvage yard, and make it fit your loader.

I thought about that. Money is a little tight right now, but it is a thought. The issue there is that I would have to buy a new bucket for the quick attach or have the current one modified.

If I can find a set of spears that works on the loader, I don't mind swapping them, as I don't have to unload hay too often with it. Once it is down, I can just use the three point spear to move it if I need to.

I guess all of this is a good excuse to go ahead and get a welder that I have needed and wanted for a while.
