Mf50a transmission filter

I have a mf 50a and I am in the process of splitting to replace clutch packs because forward is very weak.
Some one has removed and bypassed the fliter going to the oil cooler and I am looking for options to replace it.
From time to time I check eBay for one but I have not seen one yet.
I've been wondering whether or not a universal spin on type filter would work.
Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks
Daniel

A universal hydraulic filter assembly that can be used on the high pressure side could work, unless you can find the factory filter system from a tractor salvage yard.

Hi Daniel
I believe I have a new oil filter assembly for your tractor. Do you happen to have a part number?

If you reply to my personal E-mail (button bottom right...Classic View) I can send you photos of what I have here? I see there are possibly two filter assemblies, depending on your serial number.

OK, Looks like you have a late model 50? Can you put your E-mail up between the NAME box and SUBJECT box, And I will send you an E-mail with a photo of the filter I have here?
