got a chance to get 65 that has not run in ten years .
the G176 is tired but can get a GF193 out of a 302 that went to scrap .
is it worth the or close to trying to work .
but i can not get the tractor till freeze up .

I think it could work (I never looked at doing it), you may need the flywheel, and some other parts. The throttle control, and some other small parts could be different.

If you can get the 193 that's good it will bolt right in. Just remember it's a dry sleeve engine, not wet like the 176..

i was told 196 is tired but running .
its got the fly wheel , it looks the same as my 202 .
but it been a few years since i seen it .
the front crank pulley is missing.
the manifold is broken .
got it in a engine stand getting ready for a tear down .
and hear we go .

tore down the 196 mains rods just under 3 tho .
had to look a lot to find plastic gauge .
less than 10 tho taper on the liners .
the rings had 40 tho end gap .
the valves have way to much play .
and there was couple broken vavle springs .
