Massey Harris unique 3 point

I recently acquired a Massey Harris 44 special. I was taking a look at the 3 point system and its different in several ways.
-why on the 2 lower links for the 3pt do they flip up? I've never seen that before
-for a traditional 3pt it wouldn't work with the pto. The top center link is actually off-center, but the PTO shaft is high on the tractor

What's you thoughts?

Do not know about flip up, they have a special center link with hole for PTO shaft to go through.

The 33 and 44 models use a special "loop" type top link to clear the PTO shaft. The "knee action" lower link ends make implement attachment much easier, most but not all MF tractors have that feature.

That's why a 444 is better for 3 points and PTO implements.
