I have acquired a 1961 MF50 gasser 
The lights did not work when purchased but I have changed from the original switch to a 3 prong 4 position switch. Problem: tractor starts in switch position 1; tractor runs and has lights in switch position 2; tractor dies when I turn switch to positions 3 & 4. The dial position indicator calls for position:
position 1 ignition
position 2 ignition and lights
position 3 ignition and all lights
position 4 lamps
