I have wired up a FE35 with a 23C motor.
When not connected to the starter it seems OK.
Turn the key one way and the heater only comes on turn it the over way and the heater and starter comes on which seems correct.
I have one wire fitted to the main lead terminal on the starter then to the ammeter then to the ignition switch and the other wire to a small connection on the side of the solenoid which then goes to the safety switch then to the ignition.
A separate wire to the manifold heater.
No control box.
I copied the wiring diagram in the manual.
But when I connect the wires to the starter motor I find turning the key to heater also connects to the starter and when I turn the key to the starter both still connect.
Starter, solenoid or something completely different?
