What's the length of the shaft on front mounted pump on crankshaft on mf65 gas? Just
getting to take pto pump off to put pump on crankshaft so I can free pto. Had a shaft
got from TIPS in Tennessee, but to short. Had a heck of a time taking off hand crank
nut that held the crankshaft pulley, got grade 8 nut to replace hand crank nut so we
could get the Adapter Assembly bolted on to pulley.

Serial #658123, is my tractor serial #. Since my serial number is lower than what you listed ptfarmer, is there another part # of shaft that is used & the length of shaft. I have access to machist that can make a part for me

All the other loaders for the earlier 65's according to AGCO's parts books used the 3 point hydraulics. Having a machinist make one that is the length you need is your only option from what I could find.

Ptfarmer-the you tell me what page that this is on where it says Serial Number 667918 And Up used shaft 1401814M91. I printed page 20 from a agco parts list Massey ferguson 99 loader 651115

At the bottom of page 20 under all the part numbers where it has notes A, B, C, etc about serial numbers, and what not.

I just went thru this swapping a loader off my MF 65 onto my MF30/165 with the Perkins gas. Boy nothing was the same. I know the missing pump and shaft that was on the 30 was a 1 inch 6 spline, about 19 inches long. Ended up taking off that 3 bolt adapter plate and drilling 4- precise bolts holes- in the one off the 65's Cont.176 pulley, then the old left hand thread pump shaft could hook up to the engine, and had just enough length to put the pump on the 30.... oh, after welding up a whole new bracket. Took a real long time in the hottest days of summer.. but it works.
I would reach in there, take off the adapter plate if there is one, get/make/extend a shaft at least 18 inches long to fit, and then... start carving away anything that don't look like an elephant. Be patient, good luck!

This is the first time since getting this MacBook i uploaded photos. Nothing on these 2 are the same. 10 years might as well be a different company. I'll know next time... I guess the pics of the pump are in my phone, I will try that tonight
