Anyone have any information on these? I bought it for use around the farm. I have a service manual for it but thats all I have. Any information or links to sites is greatly appreciated. [/img]

Thank ptfarmer! The previous owner gave me all of those manuals when I purchased it. I didnt realize how rare these machines are until after I purchased it.

I didn't know they made a 811 skid steer until I seen your post about. It was supposed to be made in the USA from what very little info I found on it.

It was made by Northwestern Motor Company in Wisconsin who made skid steers fora few other tractor companies. Im having a hard time finding anyone who has the Perkins diesel option like I have. All of the ones I have come across online have the V-4 wisconsin gas motor. No where on the machine has a manufacture date not even on the placards.

Only production dates I could find was from 1970 -1978 I think. Probably had a Perkins 3.152 maybe? any engine would be better than the Wisconsin V4.

It does have the Perkins diesel. Starts quick everytime. Im going to start restoring it soon should be a fun project.

This may help, all information is stamped on the engine block. the below site will show you where to find all info for engine type.

Northwestern sold the company 25 plus year ago. I feel your pain all parts, stock everything, copyright, was sold and deep sixed. There is enough information to salvage parts to keep it running. It can be done time and mostly money. Northwestern built 811 with Perkins 4.108 diesel and 711 with gas. I have a northwestern 811 and have mix match parts from all over the country. You gotcha do what ever to keep it going. Mostly for the grand kids. It's a "WORK HOG" for it's size. Good luck it will be an adventure. Happy restore.

Digging up an old thread found when search for NMC skid steers. I I may be buying an old farm property and this skid steer is being offered with it. Maybe. Is this the same loader discussed in this thread? Any idea on probably age? It runs, they have been using it. Are they really rare?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Now I know who made the IH 3200's Good machine ,but Wisconsin engine had to be kept clean or it overheated so Perkins is better. Had interesting cog belt drive of wheel drive pumps as I recall.

I have this skid loader, looks identical to the MF 811. The brand I have is called Skid Steer, Model 1644. It has the Perkins diesel w/ electric glow plugs, fine motor. The motor # should be stamped where the injector pump is mounted. These engines were very common in Hyster forklifts and parts are relatively easy to locate.

Perhaps you can assist me w/ some info, I'm not entirely sure that my loader is a MF 811 or (Northwestern). I broke a hub and axel that is keywayed in, do you think you could supply me w/ some P/N's for the axel, hub, keyway and nut so I can find a supplier and compare. This will allow me to know for sure what I have.

I'll post another photo of the hub.

Thank you for any assistance in the matter
