MF 65 update

Well I've got the old girl running and it starts almost instantly even when it has set for a few days. Blows a little smoke for a couple seconds when you open the throttle. Got 50 PSI oil pressure , 40 at idle.. Put on a Denso 1 wire alternator, rebushed the brake and clutch pedals, made up a front grille from expanded metal I had, put in a new tach and volt meter, a new tie rod end, new Steering wheel, and put on an original style seat that I had. Now I need to figure why the 3PH don't work. Nothing to auxiliary valve either. I'm going to take the top off when I get time so I can look inside. I suspect a bad pump as I drained gallons of water out when I got it home. Haven't really put much money into it so I will buy a new pump if I have to. I'll try to take some pics to post when I think of it.

First check the pump to top cover standpipe O rings, if blown that will cause excessive leaks. Remove the right side cover and move the position control lever, see if the pump lever moves back and forth as it should. Pump lever roller must be in front of the top cover control levers..

I was inside the turf special I had back in the early 90's and a 180 so I know about the roller but probably a little fuzzy about some other things so I may be asking questions later. Hopefully it is something as simple as O-rings.

If you google Aaronford1 and photobucket, you should get a page with the address that starts with s132. You will know that you are on the right page if you are seeing a yellow motorcycle and a Massey 65. Anyhow, scan back through the pages (1-8) and you will find the Massey 65 Hydraulic Manual in its entirety. My pump was split when the oil/water froze My oscillator was also stripped. All parts came from here. Hope this helps.
