MF 35 grams oil seals

So, I thought my clutch was gone. Me and a buddy split the tractor and find an
oily mess. The clutch had plenty of oil soaked meat. Changing it anyway. We
are sure we need to check the trans oil seals. BTW,dual clutch transmission. We
have loosened the powering shaft housing and the manual tells us to drop the pto
drive shaft gear. We got the pto plate bearing and housing off, but are now
stuck. Does the thrust washer remove without trickery so we can get at the snap
ring to remove or drop down the pto gear so we can remove the link power shaft
to replace the bearings and seals? BTW, are all these snap rings OTC items?
Thanks for any help. Losing friends.

I've done it a long time ago. You can go to modern view then type trans seal in the search column and find all the discussions about fixing it.

You should take the flywheel off the engine, and look at the rear main seal on the engine. I replace the rear main seal also, might as well while since you are that far into it. Another thing I would suggest to drill a hole about 3/16" dia, and put a cotter pin in it where the red dot is in the picture. I seen one where they drilled a hole in the bottom plate that you can remove to adjust the clutch to keep oil from pooling on the top of that plate. This picture was from when I split my 2135 industrial (pretty much a 135 painted yellow from the factory). Behind that the bottom plate with the four bolts holding it on there should be another weep hole (where there is puddle of oil) with a cotter pin sticking out the bottom to help keep the hole open. Mine was missing that cotter pin, the hole got plugged with dirt so when I removed the plate on the bottom at least a quart of oil came out it.

Are you saying you removed the housing around the PTO at the back of the tractor? If yes, and the PTO shaft is still stuck, the easiest way to get the PTO shaft and it's bearing out all in one piece is to use a slide hammer. Make sure you have a straight back pull on it. I tried nearly everything to get mine out but it wouldn't budge. I ended up making an adapter to fit a slide hammer over the the PTO shaft, through the hole in it, one whack with a slide hammer and it all popped right out.
