Massey Ferguson 698 FWA 3 point problems

I am having some problems with my 3 point hitch control on my Massey Ferguson 698 FWA Cab. 3 point goes all the way up. doesnt matter what position the linkage controls are in. will not come down at all while engine running even with a load on it. shut the engine off and it SLOWLY SLOWLY comes down. just noticed today as i was planning on hauling my Hay in with a gooseneck trailer. the arms used to come down fairly fast once the engine was off. and my trailer hooked to it went up and down like normal while in use. seems like something is stuck somewhere not letting it come down. anyone have any ideas?
