I was doing some repair work on my MF 135. I replaced all the fuel lines. I had to take off the manifold
to replace a couple of them. When I put the manifold back on I noticed that one of the nuts would not
tighten on one of the manifold studs. I think I crossed threaded it. Anyways does anyone know how I can
back the stud out? I see no sign of rust around the stud, so that is not an issue. Any suggestions would
help. Thanks.

If you cross threaded it and tried to tighten it down then it's probably stuck. Just try and unscrew the nut and it will probably take the stud with it.

If the threads are still in pretty good shape I always try the two nuts locked together mentioned above. If they keep turning I have two stud removers, one an old Craftsman and the other a Snap On. Both work the same way. Snaps on a half inch drive ratchet/breaker bar, then slides over the stud. An eccentric clamps down on the stud and backs it out. Usually mangles the stud, but you want a new one anyway. Advanced Auto will loan you one for free, Joe.
