35 gas rear main seal gasket

I have split my MF35 gas to replace the clutch which was ruined by leaking oil.
Since I'm at, I figgered I'd change the rear main seal gasket on the engine as
well. Is there a trick on removing the deal assembly? There are three bolts on
the top half and two studs (or broken bolt remnants) on the bottom half. The
whole plate is giving some resistance and I don't want to get too aggressive. Is
it held on by some unforeseen force or other fasteners?
Any help out there?

Thanks,
Larry from NY

There are two bolts that come through the rear main cap in the lower two holes of the seal cage. Oil pan must be removed to get them out during seal replacement. Make sure the two copper sealing washers are on those bolts too when going back together.

The good news is that I need an oil change anyway.

Thanks for your help. The manual and parts book were unclear.
