MF 135 PTO issue

Went out to mow today and my PTO won't engage at engine speed. I am able to get it to engage at the ground setting. I depressed the clutch fully and moved the lever to the engine setting, and nothing. I didn't even feel any engagement. The lever traveled as far as it will go - bumped against the mounts for the 3-point under the seat. Now that I think about it, it seems that the engagement point has been slowly creeping back. It was running fine on Friday when I ran the spreader. If I move the lever without the clutch depressed, I hear a grinding noise at that full backwards travel point, like it is trying to engage back there.

Well, I figured out at least one problem. The hole where the roll pin connects the lever to the shaft on the fork and shaft assembly has been egged out over time. Pin eventually broke into 3 pieces and only
friction was moving that assembly. I guess I have three options: replace the part, try to weld up the hole and re-bore it, or enlarge the hole in the lever and insert a larger pin.
