MH 33 fluid capacities and sludge..

So the 1955 MH 33 i recently got is just
about ready for some work. Thanks to
everyone on here helping me out so much..
as this is my first tractor. (Hopfully the
only one il ever need). I just changed the
oil and when i took that filter canister
ther was some nasty sludge built up in the
bottom. I replaced the filter abd cleaned
up what i could. I rubed my finger inside
the oil pan as much as i could reach and
noticed sludge built up inside. It never
came out. Will this be something i dont
have to worry about and it will just come
out with normal oil changes from now on?
Also i just drained the transmission/gear
oil. I had almost 5 gallons of water come
out and then i started seeing oil.. after
the oil slowed sludge kept coming out..
should i worry about sludge built up in
there as well.. i left the plug off so it
can drip out over night but i imagine
theres pleanty that wont come out.. im also
wondering how much 80/90 i should fill it
back up with. Thanks for any info. I just
want to do everything i can to make this
thing last

It would be a good idea to pull the oil pan and clean it out properly ,the transmission holds 13 US gallons of fluid rinse it with solvent or diesel and refill.

What Ray said.....you can spray some diesel fuel or varsol up through the pan drain to avoid removing it; do this a few times and see how much runs out. You can also take the top cover off the Trans case fairly easily and rinse the Trans case out as well. A new gasket can be made easily as well. Ben
