Got my mh50 split and clutch apart can still see #s on disc but was slipping pto clutch is toast. Does anyone know what the thickest should be on the main drive clutch?? It's the one which had the rat nest in it. Its 10 spline and yt doesn't show a pto clutch for mh but does show it on mf50 by serial #.

What is the serial number on the tractor. If I can get that I can do some looking around.

It's 500213 funny thing is the pto disc has gold #'s still visible on the face of the fiber and yet the rivets are worn down but pto wouldn't engage without engine off and drive clutch
slipped in 2nd and 3rd. It would seem throw out bearing is engaging to far if rivets on pto are wearing.

I already ordered the drive clutch from YT. The complete assy. isn't quite the same as mine. I have adjustments on the 3 fingers with tension springs. Also thinking it was me that caused the
rivet damage while trying different petal adjustments.
I have an IT manual from the PO with a bill sheet and I'm thinking I have a cross between early and late as the late model has the adjustable fingers and early has the bevel springs like the
one you showed with no adj. on fingers.

Someone else has had the tractor split at one time for a clutch, the serial number your tractor used the no adjust fingers. When you adjust the bolts on the fingers make sure there is no more than three threads sticking out of the backside of the fingers. More than three turns sticking out the backside the bolts will hit the rivets on the clutch plate.

Got the clutch and bell housing all back together except for drive clutch and adjusting the fingers, thanks for the tip on the lower threads as the way they are set now there's more than 3
threads out the bottom. I'm making a tool to adjust them once it's on the flywheel and read where it can be done with the old main clutch. In 81 it got complete rebuild even the oil pump and
it needs fixing as pressure cold is only 10 lbs.

When the engine is at operating temperature the minimum oil pressure should be no less than 10 psi per every 1000 rpms. 10 psi cold is pretty bad.
