Recently received a 1959 MF 65 from a family member and had a few questions as this is my first older tractor and Im new at this. Tractor would start but needed to have the ring gear and starter drive replaced.
Currently I have the tractor split and have put a new ring gear on the flywheel and a new starter drive on the starter. I also have a new clutch installed, ordered from Yesterday Tractor. My first few questions are as followed.
When the clutch is installed, I did use the alignment tool and did check the .090" gap. I notice the clutch fingers sat a little weird when everything was tightened down, Almost at an angle, is this normal?
I have been following a parts manual and for the input shaft, i have a slight leak, and was going to replace the seals. It states that once the clutch fork as been removed, remove the four bolts and the housing should slide off. Well, it does not. Am I missing something? It has the multipower input shaft
Any help would be great, I need to use this tractor soon.
