I saw this 55 pulling at a vintage tractor pull the other day, it pulled the sled to the very end. It was a hot dry windy day, the 55 had two full pulls that I saw, she started to sputter about 3 quarter of the second pull but then picked up and carried on. None of the competition came close to beating the 55,and they included the likes of the JD 730 830 Oliver 99 (GM diesel).I have seen vintage 55s pulling before, and they were never this good.

I pulled lots with my 55 in the 8000 and 10000 pound class, beating those you mentioned.Shelf full of trophies. Never pulled against an 820, they were all in the heavier classes. Why did I sell it? Sigh...Ben

Good to hear you won lots of trophies with your 55, this 55 pulled in the same class as you did. The 44 special and the 444 also pulled in different classes but they spun out early. Thanks.
