Couple questions, just a brand new used 2705, no owners manual yet but ordered and not a lot of good info. from the previous owner. Hooked to round baler yesterday, shifting with power shift seems pretty rough unless you depress clutch all the way. A couple times I was able to tap the clutch just right while shifting and it was smooth like I do on my 2-105.
The guy I bought the tractor from told me not to depress the clutch all the way because I would wear out the flywheel brake? I asked well how do I know if I am riding the clutch or not, he said if it stops moving then you are good? - didn't make any sense to me, on my 2-105 and my 1105 I just push in the clutch, is there anything different I need to do on the 2705 to maintain long clutch life?
I think I will keep this machine on the round baler for the most part because of the ease of shifting, definitely less fatigue at the end of the day. Cab does not have the visibility to the rear but I do like the room and shade offered by the large flat top roof.
