I had to replace the Drive Coupling last month between the output shaft of the Transmission and the pinion drive of the Differential.
Here are several pictures:
I eventually removed the top lift cover as the Hydraulic pump was ruined...Brocken internal parts:

Machine shop says new sleeves, pistons, rings, crank grind and new bearings, oil pump & thrust washers are needed. With the brand new head, this engine should last my son a long time.

MF FE 35 3 cylinder Perkins was and still is a great utility tractor, Void of 21 Century electronics.

What RPM on the Tachometer is the engine operating to give the standard PTO speed?
What is the MAX Engine RPM on the Tachometer?
There are several different Tachometers (Two that I'm aware of on the MF FE-35 3 cylinder perkins)depending on the year of the Tractor:
What is the Serial # of the Tractor:

Trying to post a picture but it won't. It's a Smith's gauge. If I'm reading it right it's 1500rpm for 538 pto rpm. Redline is 2,400rpm. It also says standard belt speed at 2,000rpm. The serial number is SNM221458.
