Massey 230 fuel filer replacement

I have a new filter for my 230 but never changed it before. Is there anything I need to do to fill the filter or prime the tractor after changing filters.
I'm kinda new to this tractor and don't want to have problems with air in the lines.
any recommendations are appreciated.

Should come with new gaskets,replace those!Tighten thumb bolt,bottom center of clear cup fairly tight with just fingers but dont over tighten!It may leak some if it does tighten a little more until it stops!Remove small hex bolt in top center of filter housing,then using priming lever on fuel pump prime until fuel comes out of hex bolt hole at top of housing that you just removed!Replace bolt and prime some more,it should be ready to start now!If priming pump lever has no resistance it may be off fuel pump cam,just hit starter and turn engine a little and keep pumping,if still no resistance keep turning engine with starter until it you feel it start pumping!If engine starts and dies just keep pumping and trying until it starts!Under no circumstances use starting fluid or ether on these engines they do not like it and will result in engine damage!Hope this helps!
