Bought a 1963 gas MF50 today.

Needs lots of tlc. Kinda rough and noisy but it has power steering. Hoping it will hold together long enough for me to finish my yearly bush-hogging, since the 135 is down until I get multi-power working again. PO said he used it 4 years and done nothing to it. Points are burned up!
 
Did you mean he has used it for many years, or he has had it for just 4 years? Sometimes people tinker with something for a couple years and decide they bought someone else's trouble and pass it on, and say " it always ran good for me", Joe.

I guess by the 60's power steering was more common. My 59 is the next project. It needs to eventually look like Steve's.
 
that is gorgeous. Mine has a different seat (small pan and backrest) with a big spring and knob to adjust. Original lights, rear worklight will be removed to install amber flashing and bracket for SMV triangle.
 
He bought it 4 years ago from a farm dealership. Used it to bush hog about an acre, and as a driveway snowplow. Was stored outside for 4 years so seat plywood rotted.
