I bought a MF 35 gas the power steering was not working when I bought it and it was out of fluid so I thought this was the problem but when that was not it I took it apart and found the gears was broke. I went to a salvage yard and there is none to be found. Is this a weak spot on these. What would be causing this. And what is the best way to correct the problem. Thanks for any information

What is the serial number on the tractor, they used 3 different ps pumps on. The parts book shows to use part number 191423M92 for a replacement pump. Your 35 should have the Continental 4 cylinder engine.

Pray it's not the spiral cut gear on the outside that meshes with timing gear they are hard to find.Several model diesel pumps will work with just changing the straight cut gear back to the spiral one.

I put a new pump on my MF202 which also has the Z134 gas engine. That new pump was around $600.

Just thought you'd better get over the shock now before you start looking for one.
