The place where I do volunteer work recently acquired a MH 44 tractor. It is running and workable, but I think basic maintenance is in order before it is put to work which will be light duty.

I assume 10W-30 oil will be OK for the engine. What oil filter is correct? I looked up specs but they don't mention oil filter.

Will change engine coolant and clean and re-oil the air cleaner also.

I think 10W-30 is too thin, go with a 15W-40 Delvac/Rotella or straight 30.

There is a canister oil filter on the left side of engine, they are getting harder to find.

Oil weight depends on where you live. Me I use the O'Reilly's brand 20W-50 but I live in Missouri so it you live up north I might use a 15W-40 or a 10W-40
