push rod tubes

new old guy

New User
Well Good Morning,
Does anyone know where I can purchase pushrod tubes for a 1959 massey 65?
I removed the head and removed the tubes and found some distorted.
I would prefer to purchase ones in better shape if possible.
Thanks ,
Dennis

Yes, It would help if I gave all the info. It is a gas 176. I replaced the head with a remanufactured one not realizing the tubes could leak. I had discarded the original head or I could have pressed the tubes from that one. The tubes in this head I have now appear to have been removed before as there is some damage in the areas where they seat in.
Thanks for your interest in helping me with this issue
Dennis

While it's possible to get those out, you'll have to improvise a replacement. No part number listed for them as they were never intended to be a servicable part. Might be better off soldering around the old one or jbweld etc and not mess with it.

Some what off your topic...

Years ago I had an air cooled engine with faulty PUSH ROD TUBES. Had tubes machined with an O-RING groove top and bottom...worked great: I was asked to solve an oil leaking problem on another air cooled engine....had rings machined, silver soldered to top and bottom of PUSH ROD tubes with an O-ring groove:

A problem solved from the past:
