So I'm in the process of changing out my 7" disc brakes. The previous one's were saturated with oil. So obviously seals are bad.

The question is would you change out the seal up near the planetary gears, Do these fail? I think I forgot to order gaskets for the planetary gears but I do have the inner seals. Sorry if my dialect is incorrect. Been a when I get time project.

The brake plate seal is usually the problem, but the inner planetary seal can leak too. You should be able to tell if it's leaking though, brake disc on that side will be wet with oil coming from the planetary end.
