$67.00 for an air filter mt285 challenger

Been looking for an air filter for a cat MT285, seem argo is the only place to have one. $67.00 plus tax= 75.00 for a small air filter, crazy.

Looking for alternatives, maybe change the air box.
the wix number is wa10404 but I don't think they make it any more.
the HIFI part number SA 16370 but wont be imported until end of september

Sounds about right. On a Ford 4600 the 2 air filter for it cost over $160 for the pair

sounds about right you should buy some for some stuff i have dont get a lot of change back from 300.00 but cheeper then a rebuild

Not out of line at all, it's not a small filter like the old gas v8 in your pickup. Many truck and equipment filters run much more than that. I bet anything you change it to that's capable of the same capacity and filtration will cost just as much!

The price sounds in line with comparable parts. However, I did try something for my Kubota. I needed an air filter for it which was very high priced or out of stock, don't remember. I took my old filter and started opening similar sized filter boxes until I found one that was very very close. I think the length was 1/8" off but worked perfect. Price was under $30. Being good friends with the store owner didn't hurt either. Not everybody would have let me do this.
