MF 135 fender extensions

Does anyone know if 'extra deep' fender extension plates are available 'off the shelf' (in the UK) for a MF 135? After fitting a roll bar as
part of a re-furbishment, the standard extension plates (connecting the fenders to the foot rests) of course no longer fit.
OK, I know it's no big deal to make a pair from sheet steel, but just wondering if anyone else had looked for these?

Hello,
This has always been a problem when fitting roll-bars. The thickness of the plates on top of the axle can vary from a half inch to one inch or more. It is always possible to bend the footplate up a little but that looks ugly. The best suggestion is to make a cardboard template of the size that you need and have it cut to shape in an engineering shop. If you have done a refurbishment on the tractor don't spoil it with ugly plates.

Thanks, that's exactly the road I was planning going down, and no, I won't bodge that stage of the job, which is turning out well. Was just wondering if anyone actually marketed them!

I just bought a ROPS for my 135 a couple days ago so I'm interested to hear any responses here. I have a Davis 102 loader where the frame comes back underneath the rear axle and it looks like that will get in the way for me when installing the gigantic U bolts the guy gave me with the ROPS.

Hi there! Looking at a photo online at

of the Davis brackets (second photo down), and comparing them with my ROPS installation and the position of the U bolts (above), maybe you will get away with it? Actually I had more of a problem with the nuts for the U bolts fouling the outside of the fender. Once the fender was in place I couldn't turn them, so first I had to torque up all the bolts (2 straight, 1 U) without the fender being in place, then remove the fender bolts, fit the fender, and re-fit and tighten the straight bolts.
