Help IDing broken part from MF 230 hydraulic reservoir.

My father-in-law and I got our hands on a 1979 MF 230 at an auction sale for a good price with a nice Allied loader.

It has a few issues, the most immediate was a leak from the cover where you access the trans/hydraulic pickup and strainer. I drained out the oil and cleaned the strainer - it all looked pretty good except for some sludge on the bottom, and the two parts in the attached photo sitting on the access cover.

They had sludge deposited on top, which suggests they've been broken and sitting there for a while. The hydraulics *seem* to work fine. However, before refilling the tractor, I'm hoping to see if someone can help my identify where these bits may have come from in case it's something I can 'fix' easily without draining it all again.

It appears to be a portion of some sort of hinged part. The pin fits through the loops perfectly. There were also the shreds of a cotter pin in the sludge, which would have held the picture pin in the hinge loops.

Hmm, I attached the image, but it doesn't show. Trying this way:

I can't answer your question, but you can go to agcopartsbooks.com, enter as guest, enter your model and brand and peruse the parts blow-ups to see if you can locate it by the diagrams. It's ~probably something from the lift system, but could be from the trans, diff, or PTO.

Well, you helped me nail it down in no time flat. It's part of part number 1869826M93 - Oscillator Assembly.

Here's an intact example:

So, now the million dollar question is 'how important is this?'[/img]
