Hello All,
My first post in this forum. I bought a MF 202 last fall (with 200 loader and a 220 backhoe). A couple weeks ago I noticed the tractor was dripping hydraulic fluid where the bottom left side axle housing (trumpet) mates with the main central housing. I recently received a Service Manual and have been studying the procedure for removing the axle assembly. From what I have read it looks like I should plan to replace both the inner and outer bearings and seals. My questions are the following:
1) Should I also replace the housing gasket where the leak is ?
2) Since I have the tractor jacked up and both wheels off should I go ahead and do both sides ?
3) Is there anything else I should look at replacing ?
4) I have the wheels and brake drums off. I think the next step is to pull the axle's. Is there anything I need to watch out for ?
Thanks everyone. This is my first time attempting this procedure.
Mike
