Fellow came by he has a MF 65 gas hasn't run in about a year,he says carb was messed up and he had a guy working on the carb and the guy lost it.Now he has a new carb but has decided to
sell the tractor, says it ran good until the carb trouble and everything worked. He had a picture sheet metal looked good.I'm going to look at it.What are particular things I should look for
on the 65? What are these tractors worth? I have other tractors but just never ran across many Masseys.

It's always nice to have a extra pre set carb laying around. If you have one that will fit his 65, bring it with you. A toss up to pay for it- or shake on it first, but then you'll know what you got. 700 to a grand if it got good rubber, but kinda depends where you are. It is a bit too big for most people just wanting a gasser for around the house, and few working farms want a gas 65, so you might be the only game in town. I have a 65 and a MF30, and i like em both. Good luck.

If you have some small jobs to that requires a bigger tractor like a 65, a 65 gas would be ok. If you really need to use it a lot a 65 diesel would be a better choice.

if the planetary gears are worn, chipped, etc. I have been told they are hard to find.(at least in Texas). my son has a '58 and it runs strong.
