Gas Tank Removal

Hi, I have an MF 204 that I need to remove the gas tank, please advise.

You'll have to remove the hood and sheet metal around the sides. There are two bolts in the back, near the battery and two up front closer to the front of the engine. Have to get them from underneath the tank. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

..straight forward, but please remove battery to avoid any contact of the poles with the tank as you lift it off. sparky..

Thank you, I've removed the battery, the hood and the sides. also the 2 bolts in the back by the battery and those under the tank but it seems that something else is holding it in?

Did you get the two up front near the radiator? Other than that it should come out, unless someone has modified it.

As long as you have the 4 bolts out it should lift right off. Sometimes there is rubber shims between the tank and supports. The rubber tends to glue the tank on and might require a little "encouragment" to come off. Last one i did i had to wedge a putty knife in there to start things seperating.
