Guys - I have a relative who is about 1200 miles away from me and asked me some questions about his Massey 155. I'm not very familiar with Massey's at all but told him I'd try to help him out over the phone as best I could.
He said that the tractor has a few issues, first being that when he pushes in the clutch it will not stop the tractor from moving, he said it was working and then his son was pulling snow with a 3pt blade this winter and something popped and it no longer will stop. He has to shut the tractor off to stop, I'm assuming maybe a broken clutch fork and not allowing the throw-out bearing to disengage the clutch?
Next issue is the PTO. He said it will not stop when you push the clutch in (this was before the "pop" noise they heard) and also, he uses it on a small square baler and he said when he gets into some heavy windrows it will stop the PTO. I am guessing maybe the two PTO issues are related somehow. He is going to split the tractor it sounds like to see what he can find but was looking for some guidance.
Anyone have any pictures or ideas what to tell him to be looking for, or tips for splitting it?
Thanks guys, I wish he lived closer so I could go help him out but he's a long ways away.
Thanks again.
Chris
