MF 231S Oil Pressure Light coming on

I have a 2001 MF 231S and my oil pressure light is coming on after the engine runs for a while and does not go off. I changed the
oil and just ordered a new pressure switch to change it out. My tractor is located at my land about 100 miles away in a rural area
so I am trying to plan ahead as getting parts is rather difficult. Can anyone help me?

1. If the new switch does not work what should I check next?
2. If I install a pressure guage in place of the switch to check pressure, what is considered normal pressure?
3. I assume the pump is at the oil filler neck, can it be rebuilt?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you put a oil pressure gauge on it, it should come with the fittings, and tubing. I don't car for the lights, I'd rather look at a gauge. Any auto parts store should a universal oil pressure gauge kit with the fittings, and tubing.

Yup any auto parts store will have them. You can get a brass T and install at either the block or behind the gauge and run both the gauge and light if you want too. I prefer gauges like ptfarmer does but lights do have that grab your attention appeal too.

So I can screw a brass tee into the block and use the guage and the
light? That would be great.

What pressure should I expect to see
