Need help to install bulb on new light

I bought a pair of these aftermarket lights. The bulbs came but not installed.
I loosened the screw from the clips but I cannot for the life of me get the cover off. It won't even budge.
I bet it's painted shut. I don't want to damage the light trying to open it.

Is there a trick to these?

The lights themselves are actually fairly good , at least the ones I bought were . The paint on the other hand is junk and will cause no end of trouble if you paint over it with your final colour .

Use paint stripper to weaken the paint at the joint then pry them apart gently . Once dismantled take every bit of paint off and re coat using a spray zinc primer .

Might try running a blade around the edge of the rim. Shouldn't hurt it too much.

The seller on EBay from India sent me a message that they paint them after they are assembled.

Go figure! What a bunch of dummies. Sealed shut with paint. No way to open them to install a bulb without damaging the lights. Trying to break the pain seam and crack them open will result in damage.
Holy Smokes. I'm getting fed up with everything we buy these days. Doesn't matter what it is. Fridge, couch, fishing rod etc... Everything is junk!

The question really is ...... "How many old tractor guys does it take to install a light bulb?" Answer (so far) ..... "None, it appears impossible."

Might be a rubber gasket in there, sealing itself shut.

I would think after taking screw out it should just pull and off by looking at picture.
