How about raising that bucket up out of the way and giving a front shot of it? Some tractors can be distinctive by their sheet metal.

I checked to see if there is a tag and there is not. I did find 4 holes where there was a tag!

Join the club. Isn't that aggravating?

haha. You know it. I need to put a input shaft seal in the tractor and I am trying to figure out what model I have so I can order parts.

You found the tag on your engine. It has a serial number on it. Contact the gentleman below and give him your Z134 serial number. He will at least be able to tell you when your engine was made so you can at least get the year.

Yeah, it's a bummer. If you have the parts manual you will see that a lot of parts are ordered by serial number as in

before #####
or
after #####
or
from ##### to #####

I used a camera with a macro setting to get a shot at the engine tag on mine since it was very hard to read. You can see the serial in the lower right corner.

Your tractor looks nicely painted so I'd expect the tag to be painted over on yours. If it is, you might try some paint remover on it. You don't want to scratch up the tag and make the number any harder to read.

Thank you for the contact info. I just emailed him.

ptfarmer, one of the members here was nice enough to give me his information.

nice looking old tractor
does it have power steering
one of the first things to look at, the front axle center bearing, jack up the front of the tractor and see how much play is in this bearing.

these old tractor (in my opinion) were never meant to have carry large front end loaders, the front axle is just not heavy enough.

we had one break through, really messed things up, cost about as much to fix and replace bent up hood, bearing carrier, as tractor was worth.

I'm wondering what that little roll bar looking thing is that looks like it's connected to each side of the loader frame? Seen lots of pics but I've never seen that one.

Does the hood still have the emblem on the front? The parts book doesn't show rear wheel weights for a Ferguson TO35, but the parts book shows those rear wheel weights as a accessory for the MF35. That doesn't mean that someone couldn't have put those weights on a TO35.

Any tips on splitting this tractor?

Are there any videos out there or good write ups?

What seals should i replace?

Can any one tell me what clutch i have?

You said you saw 4 holes where the tag "Was", so I assume yours is gone. But, for whatever reason, my tag wasn't on the dash. It's on the left side right behind the big upright for the FEL. Behind the starter and up a little. Mine is a 66 135, Joe.

Thanks Joe. I will see if my tractor has a plate in that location as well.

On the Z124 Continental engine, that would be the ID tag with the serial number for the engine. That's where mine is.

I also have the four little holes in my dash where the tractor id tag was. For some reason some idiots remove those tags.

On my 2135 industrial with the Z134 the tag with the tractor serial number was below the battery on the left hand side.
