MF 65 Power Beyond Hydraulic Option

I put a loader on a MF 65 gas, using the original hydraulic system. It is slow (as expected), but have come across the Power Beyond Option on some Oliver Tractors I have worked with. Does anyone know if MF 65 gas tractors have this option, and if so any information that would help me get this set up.

If Power Beyond Option is not available on MF 65 gas tractors, does anyone have a good front mounted hydraulic pump they would recommend that works good? I realize PTO hydraulic pumps are an option as well but would rather not go that route.

Thanks!

Generally, there are two options when loaders were fitted to these old machines; they'd either run off the internal hydraulics which makes the loader very, very slow, or run off a front mounted hydraulic pump.

On the front of your machine, there should be a hole that goes through the center of the axle pivot, yes? If so, on either side of that hole you should see two 7/16" threaded holes. If yes again, that's where you'd mount an SAE type A hydraulic pump to power the loader. Look for something betwen 12-18 gallons per minute for good speed and ability.

What loader did you install? Davis/MF loaders were either 99, 101, or 102 loaders. they hydraulic spool valves on them will handle up to 20gpm pumps with a 2150psi relief if I remember correctly.

Make sure you can turn left & right with no obstruction. My gas mf-65, steering
linkage got in the way turning left. I added power steering to mine, changed linkage
& eliminated the linkage getting in the way. I also added front loader, using pto
pump. I have the parts for steering arms 186081M2 & 186083M2 for sale if you need
them.

Thanks for the info, will have to decide which option to use to speed things up (PTO or External Pump). I did find the holes you
mentioned as mounted up front under the axles (SAE type A hydraulic pump), thank you for that info.

I have a Soo Loader plumbed using current tractor hydraulics and not sure if current speed (slow) will be able to use it for its
intended use. I did a bunch of research/testing and finding that Power Beyond is not looking like it is available with the MF65
Gas internal hydraulic pump as was on my Oliver 880 (plumbed using tractor hydraulic pump nothing external). If I missed something
or anyone else knows of something to try to get more power/speed out of the tractor hydraulic pump short of switching to an
external pump or PTO pump please share.
